What the warranty means

The warranty is intended to provide additional protection against eligible mechanical and electrical failures during the cover period. The precise components, exclusions, claim limits and conditions are set out in the written warranty policy supplied with the vehicle.

We will make the applicable warranty terms available before the sale is completed and provide a copy at handover, so you can see exactly what is and is not covered.

Making a warranty claim

All warranty claims are administered directly by Customer Protect / AutoProtect. Riverwood Select cannot diagnose faults, authorise warranty repairs or approve claims.

Call AutoProtect directly on 01279 456 500 as soon as a fault is suspected and before accepting a repair quote or authorising any work. Repairs started without AutoProtect's prior authorisation may not be covered.

Warranty and your legal rights

The warranty is an extra benefit. It does not replace, reduce or end your statutory rights against Riverwood Select as the selling dealer.

A warranty claim and a statutory consumer-rights complaint are separate. Warranty claims must be made directly to AutoProtect. If you believe the vehicle did not meet its legal requirements at the time of sale and wish to raise a statutory complaint, contact Riverwood Select.

What is not promised by this page

This page is a summary, not the complete warranty contract, and does not describe every covered component or exclusion. Cover may differ where a vehicle retains a manufacturer warranty or where a separate extended-warranty product is selected. The written terms supplied for the particular vehicle will explain the applicable cover.

Longer-term cover

Extended warranty options may be available for customers who would like protection beyond the included 3 months or 3,000 miles. Ask us before handover and we will explain the available duration, cover level and price without pressure.
